About Us

Former Director of Human Resources for Wayne State University where she provided human resources support and executive coaching for the Mike Ilitch School of Business, the Office of the Provost, the College of Education, the University Library Systems and the Division of Research.     

She is also the former vice president of Human Resources Operations for the Detroit Medical Center’s (DMC) Children’s Hospital of Michigan (CHM) where she worked to improve patient care by improving the culture. This process began with leadership development and employee engagement.  In less than three years, CHM improved their patient care scores and became the only DMC Magnet Hospital and the only DMC hospital ranked in the top 15 Southeast Michigan’s Best Places to Work as noted by the Detroit Free Press.   

 In addition to spending many years of service at DTE Energy in management, Paylor was an adjunct faculty member at an HBCU in the City of Detroit, Davenport University, and the University of Phoenix. Her clients include(d): Microsoft, Oakland County, Wayne State University, City of Detroit Police Department, Detroit Public Schools, and Michigan Roundtable for Diversity and Inclusion (MRDI). She is a past board member of Adult Well-Being Services.    

Paylor earned a Bachelor of Science in business management and an MBA with a concentration in Human Resources Management.  She is a certified facilitator for DISC, “The Leadership Challenge” and True Colors management training.     She mentors women in the community to support their efforts to improve their quality of life.  She loves gardening and floral design.
